A Complete Range Of Massage Treatments

Massage is a form of therapeutic touch that has been used for healing for thousands of years all over the world.

We have a natural instinct to rub a sore spot or ache on our bodies, or to give someone a hug for comfort. Massage has developed from this instinct and is recognised as one of the most effective ways to relax, revive, and heal the body, mind, and soul.

Why is Massage good for your Lifestyle and Wellbeing?

Massage works in various ways. Physically it stimulates the skin, muscles and other bodily tissues, which relieves pain, relaxes muscles, improves circulation, removes toxins, and promotes digestion. Therefore massage is very suitable to treat many physical problems.

At the same time massage lifts the spirit and calms the mind. A treatment can be deeply relaxing, or reviving and stimulating, depending on your needs. Massage is very effective in treating stress-related problems. Of course massage can also simply be a treat!

At the Berkeley Centre we have a wide range of massage types on offer:

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is massage therapy but with highly concentrated plant oils, called essential oils, added to the massage oil or lotion. £45 / hr

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is firmer than Relaxation Massage and aims at the deeper layers of muscle tissue. £40 / hr & £25 / 30 mins

Relaxation Massage

Tailored to your individual needs, a relaxation massage can be a full-body massage or focus on specific areas of the body where tension is centred. £40 / hr

Traditional Thai Massage

Combining the use of gentle yoga stretches with sensitive acupressure and manipulation to suit each person, this massage is given on a firm but comfortable futon on the floor and you wear loose, light clothing.£40 / 60 mins & £55 / 90 mins & £70 / 2 hrs

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments and tendons. Beneficial for both sports people and those that just want a deeper more specific form of massage. £40 / hr & £25 / 30 mins

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage uses the same massage techniques as Swedish massage, but with the incorporation of volcanic basalt stones which retain heat for a long period of time. The smoothness of the stones and the heat makes the massage a very reassuring and relaxing treatment creating harmony and balanced energy flow throughout the body. £55 / 90 mins & £45 / hr
